Odyssey

As part of our ‘Explain It Like I’m…’ series, this article unpacks one of the core strengths of our Odyssey concept: the ability to curate deeply resonant experiences by understanding you—not just your preferences, but your purpose, timing, and needs. From the reflective phase in the Asclepiad app to shared wild‑camping in remote places, Maia doesn’t just match people to events. She choreographs a shared journey. Here’s how that process makes sense depending on where you’re at.
Our inaugural Odyssey heads north to Scotland. We chose this country because it uniquely combines accessible wilderness with a culture that welcomes simple living. In the Highlands and on the coasts you can still find places where moorland and mountains roll without a building in sight, white sand beaches meet the cold sea, and heather‑covered hills ring with nothing but the wind. At the same time, trains and ferries link these landscapes to cities, so you can leave a busy life behind in the morning and be in the wild before nightfall.
In a crowded world of wellness retreats, it’s easy to feel like you’re being offered a product off the shelf: a fixed location, templated schedule, and generic promise of improved wellbeing. If you’ve left one of those retreats feeling it didn’t quite land—people not your people, practices not meeting you where you are—you’re not alone. We created the Odyssey to offer something different: a living, breathing human experience tailored to who you really are, with small matched cohorts, mobile van‑based camps in remote wild‑camping locations, and programmes designed around your needs and aspirations.
When you join an Odyssey, you’re not paying a fee up front for a pre‑packaged retreat. Instead, you’re making a contribution toward a shared experience. We use our own digital token, AsclepiCoin, to make these contributions simple and anonymous.
Our Odysseys aren’t typical retreats. They’re living, breathing experiences where small cohorts camp in remote wild places, share meals and stories, and co‑create their journey. To help bring these experiences to life, we invite applications from people who want to serve as Asclepiad facilitators—participants with a special role in guiding the circle.
